Laparkan is a company that is rooted in Community.
Laparkan’s emergence as a shipping company was born to fulfill the need for West Indian immigrants to send parcels and barrels of food basics to their loved ones in the Caribbean back home.
Our core services are designed to meet the needs of the Caribbean peoples with convenient locations close to where they live, local pick ups at late hours to accommodate their work schedules and involvement in sports and events that they enjoy. Our marketing program is grassroots getting right into the heart of the activities and celebrations that are close and dear to Caribbean nationals.
Laparkan has an ongoing and active program of giving back to the community. On an ongoing basis, we support a variety of Community events, cultural, education, religious and sporting activities and events and donate shipping services to many organizations that are involved in charitable work for needy people ‘back home’.
When natural disasters impact the Caribbean basin region Laparkan moves to the forefront, helping to get emergency food and supplies to help rebuild affected communities ravaged by Hurricanes and flooding. These types of acts have brought recognition of Laparkan as a good Corporate Citizen and we have been rewarded with a Laparkan Day by the City of New York and a number of Caribbean organizations have shown their appreciation with plaques and commendations over the years.
