 Glen Khan was born in Georgetown, (at the time British Guiana) now an independent Republic Guyana. He grew up in humble family beginnings and started his career with the firm Panell Fitzpatrick & Co. a prestigious firm of Accountants in the Country.
During his tenure at this firm he qualified (self study) as a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (a UK qualification) in June 1973.
In pursuit of new challenges, Glen Khan emigrated to Africa in 1979 and joined the Accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand quickly distinguishing himself allowing him to take up a Senior position in a leading Shipping Company. Always a quick study, Glen became enthralled with the intricacies of this Industry and its role in facilitating International trade.
An entrepreneur and visionary at heart, Glen was always on the lookout for new opportunities. Laparkan Investments Limited was set up in 1982 in the Channel Islands to pursue business opportunities. In collaboration with two friends, a shipping venture was started out of Toronto, Canada operating as Laparkan Trading Limited.
Glen has been the visionary and dynamic energy of the Oganisation since its 1982 inception and moved to USA in 1989 to chart the direction and rapid growth to its current 1000 plus employee diverse Group of Companies. Glen Khan currently holds the position of Chairman & CEO.
